Feelings and Emotions Interactive English Lesson for Kids

YEARS: Primary School, Secondary School
PAGES: 40
Published: July, 3, 2026

Description

My Feelings & Emotions is an engaging interactive English lesson created for preschool and primary school learners.

Children learn and practise essential emotion vocabulary:

happy, sad, angry, tired, scared, surprised

The lesson includes bright visual vocabulary cards, animal associations, matching games, “Who is…?” activities, real-life situations and speaking tasks. Students learn not only to recognise emotions, but also to understand why a person may feel a certain way.

This material helps children:

  • learn basic feelings and emotions vocabulary;
  • recognise emotions from facial expressions;
  • connect feelings with everyday situations;
  • answer simple questions in English;
  • develop speaking, listening and visual memory skills;
  • practise sentences such as “I am happy” and “She is scared.”

The lesson is suitable for online and classroom teaching, individual lessons and small groups.

The lesson plans are incredibly well-structured, offering a balanced mix of grammar, vocabulary, and engaging activities. Each plan is clear, easy to follow, and saves me hours of preparation. The CELTA-informed methodology shines through, ensuring my students are always actively involved and communicating. What I love most is that these plans cater to a variety of learning styles, so all my students stay engaged.
